No doubt its a sweet car but in no way is it worth 80k...this is a well known bucket of issues full of expensive things that are certain to break. Which is a shame because it is so damn cool.

If I was a billionaire who made his money in stock market of the 80s, I'd buy this in a second. Being a normal person, who doesn't vacation on a multi-million dollar yacht and to whom money is a factor, I'd say not worth $80k. Maybe the $50-60k range.

Rare enough in very good to excellent condition to be worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, even in genuinely uninspiring colors. That said, this has either been for sale for a while (it was on eBay several times with these same pictures) or it's a frequent flyer.

Only to the multimillionaire completionist BMW collector who collects only white cars. And whose collection still needs one.

850 *CSi*, not a run of the mill 850i, they made 1400 of these total. ~200 or so sent to the US.

Bespoke Quad cam V12, essentially a detuned unit of what ended up in the McLaren F1, 6 speed manual gearbox, this was essentially the "///M8".

These things go for 60+k all day long, so 80 for a nice low mileage car isn't insane.

It's awesome, rare, and has low miles, but it's worth $60k tops

The v12 in this car is absolutely not anything like the engine in the McLaren F1 aside from being a V12. The engine M70/S70 engines are two M20 straight 6 engines put together, sometimes bored out. That means SOHC, no VANOS, nothing fancy that made the S70/2 engine so great. The S70/2 is a totally different engine, not even really in the same family of engines despite the naming.

CSi says it's worth $50k to me. $80k is too much.
